About Mollie McShane Allen
Mollie Allen draws inspiration from color, animals, nature, music, and children. She studied art at Moore College of Art and Cabrini College for a degree in elementary education.

While raising her two daughters she played music in a family band, yet continued to pursue her love of painting and drawing while attending a variety of classes at Chester County Art Association, Wayne Art Center, Chester Springs Studio and The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

For the past 35 years Mollie has worked with children of all ages in a variety of different settings. In the last 15 of those years she has shared her love of painting and ceramics with the youth at Open Connections, a home school education and resource center in Newtown Square, where “freedom to learn and create” and lifelong learning are guiding principles.
